What is  a Shape Memory Alloy?

Material that “remembers” is original shape, cold, by which it will return to its original shape by means of an external force; heat. The materials are light in construction and can be bended into any shape by external force. The alloy, once heated will force back into its original position or textile. It is primarily used in medical and aerospace.  Some materials are composed of copper-aluminum-nickel, copper-zinc-aluminum, and iron-manganese-silicon alloys

Other:  Nickel/Titanium alloys such as Nitinol and Tinel
             Silver/Cadmium Alloys
             Gold/Cadmium Alloys
             Copper/Tine Alloys

Companies:
       NiNintol
       Dynalloy, Inc.
